Museums and Collections Digital Audit

A comprehensive audit of the websites and CMS of the Museums and Collections department at the University of Melbourne, including Science Gallery Melbourne, Buxton Contemporary, Ian Potter Museum of Art, Old Quad and the Grainger Museum. The audit resulted in a report of recommendations for greater efficiency and brand consistency.

Work

  • 1. To ensure consistent and up to date content across all sites
    2. To streamline the information architecture, and content management across websites
    3. To assess and consolidate our digital communication platforms (e.g. EDMs)
    4. To align brand representation and ‘look and feel’ with outcomes of the brand review

  • - Review content on existing platforms. Document and update information inconsistencies.
    - Review content management systems and document current digital processes
    - Review information architecture on each site
    - Develop recommendations for consistent content management systems and information architecture if relevant

  • A detailed report of recommendations was produced that formed part of a broader departmental brand review.
