Who I Am
I’m Chelsea Harris, an arts administrator with experience in creating and coordinating programming, with a focus on young audiences. My undergraduate studies in Art History followed by Honours led me to undertake the Master of Art Curatorship at the University of Melbourne, which I completed in 2011. Throughout my studies and then my career in the GLAM sector, I’ve been motivated by programming that creates greater accessibility and brings new audiences to museums and galleries through accessible programming.
I’ve been working in museums and collections in the tertiary sector since 2014, and during this time have used co-creation and evaluation to fine-tune programming for young audiences. My programming expertise includes design, coordination, promotion, and logistics. More recently, I’ve expanded my skills in digital content production and social media strategy. Tools I use include Hootsuite, Canva and Wave to create and coordinate engaging content for social media accounts.
Since 2015 I have held a substantive role at the University of Melbourne working to engage new audiences through diverse programming at the Grainger Museum and now Archives and Special Collections, including at the Noel Shaw Gallery.
Feel free to contact me to discuss your programming needs.
